 Fern is medium-sized, balanced, and athletic.  She is drafty yet elegant, with a feminine headpiece, good topline and front, and a solid rear. She has nice movement with reach and drive.

Her coat is short and thick with a black undercoat on her body and grayish brown undercoat on her neck.  Her colors are clear and rich.

Like her parents, Fern is a happy girl with a great sense of humor. She has a high energy level but is biddable. She loves to travel and is happiest when she is with her family–an excellent and faithful companion
